Thurston County Regional Planning Commission wants to hear from you about their Regional Safety Action Plan!
Overview
Fatalities and serious injuries on Thurston County roadways have been trending upwards over the past 20 years. In collaboration with partners, TRPC is developing a Regional Safety Action Plan that will work to make our roadways safer for all users.
Over the course of this project, TRPC will:
Convene a Steering Committee to provide oversight and guidance throughout the project
Conduct a safety analysis of our region’s roadways to analyze existing conditions and trends, as well as identify safety needs
Engage with community members to learn about their experiences
Develop an action plan that identifies and prioritizes regional safety goals, strategies for achieving those goals, and specific projects and policies for each jurisdiction
Develop transition plans to support the communities of Tenino, Bucoda, and Rainier in complying fully with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
